- My name is Hugh Murphy and I love fish. Fly fishing and painting are two of my great passions in life. In many ways, this blog is my creative outlet and a unique way for me to unify those passions. I have another blog called T-Rex Trying (http://trextrying.tumblr.com/) which features funny cartoons of a T-Rex trying to make it in contemporary society. Although T-Rex rarely succeeds, he never stops trying - proving that perseverance is a virtue in and of itself. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California and will be completing my residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at UNC Chapel Hill. I usually do paintings on commission, but I am open to receiving offers for the completed works posted on this site. I also have signed limited edition prints available for purchase.
